1. About these terms
These terms apply when you visit or use https://avocatel.ro (the "Platform"). By creating an account, using a paid feature, or continuing to use the Platform, you confirm that you have read and accepted them. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use the Platform for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to represent it.

3. What Avocățel provides
Avocățel provides general legal information using artificial intelligence and legal sources, mainly for Romanian law. Depending on availability, the Platform may include chat, questionnaires, summaries or action plans, document templates and generation, educational materials, and information about legal professionals. Some features are free; others use credits or require a separate payment. The description and price shown before use or purchase are the ones that apply.
4. Legal information, not legal advice
Avocățel is not a law firm. Using the Platform does not create a lawyer-client relationship, professional mandate, or legal privilege. Answers and documents are generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Check sources, names, dates, deadlines, and the requirements of the receiving authority before acting or filing a document. For an important, urgent, or complex matter, consult a lawyer or another qualified professional. Do not rely on the Platform for emergencies or for meeting procedural deadlines.
5. Accounts and credits
Sign-in is by email, usually through an access link. You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity under your account. Credits unlock certain features; they are not money or electronic currency, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Your balance and the credit cost are displayed in the Platform. A feature consumes credits only as described when you use it.
6. Prices, payments, withdrawal, and refunds
The total price and applicable taxes are displayed before ordering. Payments are processed by Stripe using the payment methods available at checkout; we do not receive full card details. Digital services and downloads are supplied at your request immediately after payment is confirmed. If you are a consumer, your statutory withdrawal right applies as required by law and can be lost only when the legal conditions for immediate performance or delivery of digital content are met. Your legal rights for a non-conforming service remain unaffected. For a duplicate payment, missing credits, or a technical error, contact bmcb.dev@gmail.com. Used credits and digital documents already supplied are not refundable unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Acceptable use
Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and provide information you are entitled to use. You must not infringe another person's rights, impersonate anyone, submit unlawful or abusive content, attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service, bypass usage limits, or access the Platform automatically without our permission. Do not provide another person's data unless necessary and you have a lawful reason to do so. You give us a limited right to process submitted content only to provide and secure the service.
8. Professionals and third-party services
Listings or suggestions of lawyers, notaries, accountants, or other services are provided for information. These professionals are independent. Avocățel does not guarantee their availability, qualifications, or results and is not a party to any relationship you establish with them. Third-party links and services are governed by their own terms.
9. Content and intellectual property
The Platform, brand, design, and content we create are protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the Platform under these terms. You retain rights in the content you submit. You may use generated answers and documents for your lawful purposes, but you are responsible for checking and using them. Because of the nature of AI, other users may receive similar output. Official sources and third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and rules.
10. Availability and suspension
We try to keep the Platform secure and available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. We may temporarily change, limit, or stop a feature for maintenance, security, legal requirements, or service updates. We may suspend access for fraud, abuse, a security risk, or a serious breach of these terms, with notice when circumstances reasonably allow.
11. Liability
The Platform is an information tool and does not guarantee a particular result. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for decisions made without professional verification, content supplied by users or third parties, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Closing your account
You may clear your chat history and request account deactivation through the Platform or at bmcb.dev@gmail.com. On voluntary deactivation, unused credits are reset and cannot be transferred, without affecting your statutory rights. To request deletion of other account data, submit a request under the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature continue after account closure remain effective.
13. Complaints and governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law, without removing any mandatory protection you have in your country of residence. If a problem arises, first contact bmcb.dev@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it amicably. Consumers may contact Romania's National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) and its alternative dispute resolution service (SAL). If no resolution is reached, disputes will be handled by the courts competent under applicable law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our services or legal requirements change. We will publish the new version and its update date. For material changes affecting existing users, we will provide reasonable notice where possible. Changes will not retroactively reduce rights already obtained through a payment.
